Gum Grafting And Scalpel Free Rejuvenation

Dr. Joanie Faucher performs gum grafting procedures to help patients with gum recession. This treatment helps to improve the appearance of one’s smile and alleviate various issues associated with gum recession, such as teeth sensitivity, damage to gum tissue, and bone loss. Gum grafting can protect teeth and their roots from decay and create a more even gumline. Dr. Faucher is also trained in the pinhole surgical technique, the least invasive procedure for reversing gum recession. This technique requires no grafting or sutures, resulting in a shorter healing period and easier recovery.

Pocket Reduction Surgery

Dr. Faucher can perform dental pocket reduction surgery, a standard treatment for patients with periodontal disease. This condition causes deterioration of gum tissue and bone along the gumline, resulting in the formation of “pockets” around the teeth. As these pockets become larger, more bacteria get around the teeth and under the gum tissue, leading to further loss of bone and gum tissue until the tooth is lost. If your pockets are too deep to clean with a routine cleaning procedure, you will need a pocket reduction surgery. During the surgery, Dr. Faucher will remove the bacteria from the pockets and the tartar from the surface of teeth roots.

Crown Lengthening

Dr. Faucher provides a crown lengthening procedure that involves reshaping gum tissue, bone, or both to expose more of a tooth. Crown lengthening is a common procedure for patients with a “gummy smile,” where excessive gum tissue around upper teeth makes teeth appear short. Dr. Faucher will also perform this treatment for patients who need to fix a tooth that broke off at or below the gumline, or to replace a filling or a crown that fell out. Crown lengthening exposes more of the tooth surface and allows your dentist to remove the tooth decay underneath or to place a crown.

Implants

Dr. Faucher will install dental implants to replace teeth lost due to a disease or accident. Dental implants can replace a single tooth or several teeth or to support other dental fixtures. They secure dentures and bridges in place and prevent them from shifting in your mouth, even when eating or talking. With dental implants, your dentures can feel more natural and comfortable compared to traditional ones, which often cause sore spots or have poor ridges. With implants, no adjacent teeth need to be ground down to hold artificial teeth in place.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation

Dr. Todd Slogocki provides full mouth rehabilitation services for patients who want to optimise the health of the entire mouth, including the teeth, gums, and bite. If necessary, every tooth will be replaced or restored with a combination of various dental services, such as placement of dental bridges, crowns, or implants; inlays and onlays; teeth whitening; and fillings. This highly individualized treatment is an option for individuals who suffered multiple teeth damage or loss due to a disease or trauma. Dr. Slogocki will evaluate the health of your mouth as well as your overall health to determine if you are a candidate for full mouth rehabilitation.

TMJ

Dr. Slogocki provides management solutions for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. TMJ disorders are usually accompanied by painful joints of the jaw, sore or aching sensation around the ear, jaw stiffness, locking of the jaw joint or its limited movement; headaches or aching in the face, head, neck, shoulders, or back; radiating pain in the face, jaw, or neck; difficulty chewing, swallowing, eating, speaking, or breathing; painful clicking or popping in the jaw joint during jaw movement; and an altered, uncomfortable, or uneven bite. Depending on your specific condition, Dr. Slogocki will recommend appropriate treatment strategies for dealing with the TMJ disorder.

Cosmetic Solutions

Dr. Slogocki provides a variety of cosmetic solutions for patients who want to brighten their teeth or improve the overall appearance of their smiles by addressing any teeth imperfections. Dr. Slogocki will make a proper evaluation of the health of your mouth and identify any issues that need immediate attention, such as cavities or gum disease. After resolving those issues, Dr. Slogocki will recommend an individualized treatment plan which may consist of cosmetic procedures, such as performing dental whitening; placement of dental veneers, crowns, or implants; or dental bonding.
